The Dragons came in looking for revenge. Last
year Central beat Collierville in the 1st round of the playoffs.
Central was the 1st opponent of the season because of that unexpected
loss.

Again, the Dragons demonstrated a well rounded attack on both
sides of the ball. The defense shut out the Warriors allowing
only 200 yards total offense. Sr. DL Guy Featherstone, Sr. DE
Trey Day, and others had several sacks. FS Sr. Steven Hall had
an interception and nose guard Sr. Nick Peterson recovered a
fumble in the 3rd period.

WR #4 Andy Key catching his
1st of 2 touchdown passes
Sr. QB John Paul Brashear connected on 5 of 10 passes for 102
yards. He threw 2 touchdown strikes to Sr. WR Andy Key. Key scored
the 1st touchdown of the season on a 10 yard strike in the back
of the end zone. Brashear connected again with Key on a 34 yard
pass in the 4th quarter putting the Dragons up 30 - 0. |

Collierville's offense was able to move the
ball on the ground and in the air. The offensive line did an
excellent job opening holes lead by Sr. center Nick Peterson,
Sr. guards Carson Hunter & Sr. Turner Smith, and Sr. tackles
Guy Featherstone & Sr. Kevin Presley.
RB Steven Hall lead the ground game by rushing for 89 yards
on 8 carries. Sr. Brandon Kennon added 57 yds. & Jr. Undray
Wright added 54.
