| The "All-Region"
team is decided by the coaches. Regional coaches met at the
end of regular season. Each had 2 offensive, 2 defensive,
and 3 special team selections. They could not select players
from their own teams. 12 CHS players were selected to 2002
team. |

Commercial Appeal announces its selections for "The
Best of the Preps All-Metro Team". 4 Dragons made the
Shelby Suburban 2002 team. |

| The CHS Varsity Football had the Annual
Awards Banquet at Woodland Hills Country Club on December
12, 2002. Each year the coaches make the selections in 8 catagories. |

Racking up 3 Awards were Sr. Jake
Storz, Sr. Chris Hudson, & So. Brian Hall. All were named
to the Best of the Preps All-Metro Team and the Coach's All-Region
1st Team.
Storz was the Team MVP and also participated in the 1st Annual
Shelby Metro All-Star game on Dec. 14th at MUS. He was 2nd Team
All-Region in 2001.
Hudson was named Team Best Defensive Lineman and also participated
in the Shelby Metro All-Star game.
Hall was one of the Team's Defense Most Improved (3 way tie).
On Oct. 29th, he was selected "Football Athlete of the Week"
by The
Commercial Appeal.
For the 2nd year in a row Sr. C.
J. Passmore made the All-Metro & All-Region 1st Team .
He played in the Shelby Metro All-Star game and was listed 4th
in kick scoring in the Shelby Metro Area. He was also Best Special
Teams Player in 2001.
Sr. Robbie Seahorn made the
All-Region 1st Team and was the Team Defense Most Improved player.
