A
touchdown pass from Tucker Tubbs
to Kohl Wulff with 2:34
to play in the game broke a scoreless
tie and sent the Dragons home a winner.
The game had been a defensive battle from
the beginning. Each team threatened to
score, but the defense came up with big
plays. Key pass receptions by Skyler
Milner, Trent Johnson,
and the touchdown reception by Kohl
Wulff kept the Eagles from keying
on the running game.
Cornerbacks
Tyler Dixon, Chris Cotton,
and safety Kevin Hall kept
the Eagles passing game in check. Julius
Elo and Wally Burke
plugged the middle of the defensive line
for the Dragons. Next 7th grade game will
be at home Tuesday September 13th at 6:00
P.M against Bolton.. |

The
Dragons offense clicked Tuesday
night as four different players
scored touchdowns in a 44-6 win.Trent
Johnson was unstoppable as he led
the charge with three touchdowns.Taylor
Mathews and Grant
Smith also scored on running
plays. Maybe the best offensive
play of the game came on the last
play of the first half. Tucker
Tubbs dropped back and
heaved a 50 yard pass down the field
to Sean Garner,
who went up high and made the catch. He
raced into the endzone for the score.
The defense played tough and aggressive.
Kevin Hall had
one interception and several key
tackles. Chris Cotton
made a big play to break up a long
pass in front of the Dragon bench.
Bolton's lone touchdown came on
a fumble return early in the ballgame.

The
Collierville Dragons continued their
dominance over opponents Tuesday
night with a big win over the Germantown
Red Devils at Red Devil Field. The
offensive line opened large holes
for running backs Trent
Johnson, Taylor Mathews, Tyler Dixon,
Caleb Delee, and Blake Holmes.
Trent Johnson scored 3
touchdowns and Tyler Dixon
added 1 to round out the scoring.
Pass protection was also good as
quarterback Tucker Tubbs
had plenty of time to complete passes
to Skyler Milner. Lineman Ryan
Davis, Marcus Johnson, Mitchell
Bledsoe, Nick Garces, Brad Riales,
and Ben Parrish
blocked the Germantown defense to
keep the offense on the move. The
defense was led by Julius
Elo at nose guard.
Elo spent the night disrupting
the Red Devil offense and making
plays in the backfield. Austin
Merryman made a big time
interception and return to stop
a last minute drive by the Devils.
Wesley Evers also
had an interception from his linebacking
position. John Bland, Kohl
Wulff, and Patrick
Lannan had key stops on
defense to keep Germantown in check.
Kickoff coverage was led by Camden
Baker, John Bland, and Alex Stehle.
Kevin Hall and
Grant Smith saw action
at quarterback and played well.
The Dragons travel to Millington
Tuesday, September 27th for the
next game before returning home
Oct 4th to play Houston.

Houston
started strong with a first half
touchdown to take the lead 6-0.
The game became a defensive battle
for most of the first half. The
Dragons began a drive at midfield
with 4:50 left in the first half.
Punishing running by Trent
Johnson and Taylor
Matthews put the Mustangs
on their heels. A key pass completion
to Skylar Milner
kept the Dragons moving with time
running out in the first half. With
45 seconds left in the half Tucker
Tubbs found Taylor
Matthews open for a 25
yard touchdown.Trent Johnson added
the 2 point conversion to take an
8-6 lead into the halftime break.
The second half was more of the
same with hard hits and big plays.
Julius Elo and
Nate Rupiper came
up with big hits in the backfield.
Kevin Hall and
Tyler Dixon had
key pass deflections.The Dragons
executed a drive late in the third
quarter to score on a run by Trent
Johnson. Johnson also scored
the 2 point conversion to extend
the lead to 16-6.Houston came charging
back with a nice drive of their
own. Tucker Tubbs
stepped in front of the intended
receiver and intercepted the Houston
pass to stop their threat at the
one yard line. The Dragons ran the
clock out from that point to win
their 6th straight game and remain
undefeated.The Dragons travel to

Owls in a key game. Game time is

| This
rivalry of close games held true once
again as the Dragons had to go to overtime
to put away the MUS Owls 14-8.Collierville
had steady play from both sides of the
ball but turnovers seem to stop the Dragons
before they could reach pay dirt.Collierville
did score once in the first half on a
run by Trent Johnson.
Johnson also added the
2 point conversion to take the lead 8-0.Hard
running by Taylor Mathews
kept the Owls from keying on Trent
Johnson. MUS scored late in the
2nd Quarter on a 40 yard pass play and
a 2 point conversion knotted the game
at half time. Stingy defense kept the
score tied at the end of regulation play.
Collierville had the ball first in overtime
from the 10 yard line and scored on a
swept left from the 7 yard line by Trent
Johnson. Johnson's
run for the 2 point conversion failed
and the stage was set for the defensive
heroics.MUS banged the ball into the Dragons
middle 3 times to get the ball to the
2 yard line. They were aided by a face
mask penalty on first down which put the
ball at the 3 yard line.A pass on 4th
down was complete for an apparent touchdown
but was thrown to an ineligble receiver
and the game ended with a dragon victory.
Collierville defends its perfect season
at home Tuesday October 18 against Arlington.Game
time is set for 6:00 p.m. They will end
their season at Cordova Thursday OctobeRr

| The
7th grade Dragons football team took on
a pesky Arlington team that gave them
all they wanted Tuesday night. The Dragons
offense sputtered at times but played
well enough to win. Trent Johnson opened
the scoring for the Dragons in the second
quarter with a short run.The 2 point conversion
was good to make the score 8-0 at halftime.
Defense was the name of the game. Austin
Merryman made several plays both
defending the pass and the run. Patrick
Lannan and Kohl Wuff
anchored a solid defensive line that held
Arlington to just one first down in the
ballgame. On offense Tucker Tubbs
completed 3 passes to TE Kohl
Wuff. Wuff came
up with several key passes, one a shoetop
catch to keep a drive alive. Taylor
Mathews added a touchdown on
a 3 yard run to cap the scoring for the
Dragons. The 2 point conversion failed.Kickoff
coverage was excellent for the Dragons
led by hard hitting Alex Strehle
and Nate Rupiper. Kick
off chores were handled by Skyler
Milner and Grant Smith.

final game of the season Thursday October
