PAUL
COX, HEAD COACH AND ATHLETIC DIRECTOR |
Coach
Cox has been coaching for 33 years, spending
the last 30 as the Dragon football leader.
He begins the 2006 season with an overall
record of 259 wins and 112 losses. He is
the winningest active coach n Shelby County,
TN., the 5th winningest active coach in
TN., and has been to the TSSAA state playoffs
the last 13 years. Ch. Cox is married to
wife, Betty. They have 2 children. |

Ch.
Abel is responsible for Split Ends
& Inside Linebackers. He has been
a H.S. coach. for 19 years with the
last 11 at CHS. He lead teams that
were 1988 Best of Preps Finalist &
the State Runner-Up in boys soccer.
His 1995 squad was the only CHS Freshman
Football team to go undefeated.
Ch. Abel was a Football All-Conference
recipient and earned a B.A. in Mathematics
while playing at Rhodes College in
Memphis. He played football &
track at Hot Springs H.S. in Hot Springs,
AR. and was All Conference-AAAA South.
He
has taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra I
and II, & Pre-Calculus. Ch. Abel
is married to Tracie Abel and has
2 children. |

| MIKE
BRADLEY, ASST. COACH |
|
Ch. Bradley is responsible for the Offensive
& Defensive Lines. He has been coaching
football at CHS for the past 13 years. The
10 years prior he coached at Skyview Academy
and Bolton H.S. in the Memphis area, Indianola
Academy in Indianola, MS., & Delta State
University.
After graduating from Vigor H.S. in Mobile,
AL., Ch. Bradley played RT & Long Snapper
for Delta St. University. He won the Offensive
Lineman Award in '82-'83, Team Captain '83,
and All Gulf South Conference Offense in
'83.
Ch. Bradley has lead the Lady Dragons Softball
Team for several years. Some of his accomplishments
on the diamond are The
Commercial Appeal's 1996
Female Sport Coach of the Year, and District Coach
of the Year in '94, '95, '96, '00, '01,
'02, '03, '04, '05. He and his wife, Pam,
have 2 children, Megan & Hunter. |

JORDAN, ASST. COACH |
|
Ch.
Jordan is responsible for Cornerbacks &
Running Backs. He was a multi-sport athlete
at Oakhaven Baptist Academy in Memphis,
He is a graduate of the University of Memphis
with a degree in Physical Education. Ch.
Jordan began his football coaching career 20 years ago at CHS. Other sports he has
coached are Asst. in Boys and Girls Basketball,
9th Grade Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls
Soccer, Girls Track, & Asst. in Baseball.
He teaches U.S. and World History.
Ch. Jordan and wife Tammy have 3 children;
Meghan, John, & Ali. |

STONE, ASST. COACH |

Coach Stone works with Tight ends and “Bat” linebackers for both the JV, and Varsity teams. He has been coaching H.S. football for 16 years with the last 11 years at CHS. He played 4 years of Varsity Football at Westminster High School in Westminster, CA. and Boyd County High School in Ashland, KY. Coach Stone is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University earning a B.A. in Business Administration (Accounting), B.S. in Mathematics, & an M.A. in Mathematics Education.

REED, FRESHMAN ASST. COACH |
|
Ch.
Reed is responsible for the Offensive Line
& Defensive Front. He ran track and
was All Conference in Football at Bryant
High School in Bryant, AR. Ch. Reed earned
a B.A. in Physical Education at Harding
University in Searcy, AR. He also played
Guard and Center for the Harding U. Football
Team. He has spent the last 7 years coaching
football at CHS. Ch. Reed also coached 4
years at Bartlett High School in Bartlett,
TN., 1 year at Dallas Christian High School
in Mesquite, TX, and 1 year at Searcy High
School in Searcy, AR . He teaches Biology at CHS. Ch. Reed and his wife Kristie three daughters - Mallorie, Madisen, and Brooke. |
